We have recently received word that the New York State Budget includes increases of 1950% for pesticide applicators re-certification fees and a 300% increase for business registration. Ultimately these increases will be passed on to you the consumer. Due to previous regulations passed by New York State the cost to treat and protect your investment into your landscape has sky rocketed. We do have many trade associations trying to fight these regulations but frankly we are not winning many concessions. Many of these regulations are not based on facts or good science and it is estimated that a vocal 5% of the population may be asking for these laws while the other 95% see the overall benefit of these types of services.
The bottom line is that if the public does not make it's dissatisfaction known concerning these regulations things will only get worse and more costly.
