Our lawn feedings are generally done with organic and mostly organic fertilizers. By using these products we can feed the lawn slowly with minimal leaching or runoff into our environment. These organic products help to boost the natural living organisms in the soil which in turn helps to create a natural balance which is beneficial to plant health. This will help improve root growth, disease resistance and overall stress tolerance. It is normal for lawns to get beat up and stressed out over the hot and humid months of summer. Even a healthy lawn can show signs of stress, but a healthy lawn will grow out of it much better than an inferior lawn.
Timing is very important.
Some fertilizer in early spring will wake up the lawn and help prevent or suppress Red Thread disease.
Late spring will keep your lawn green and active going into the summer. Little to no nitrogen should be applied in the heat of the summer as this can cause disease issues.
Early fall starts the lawn re-building and root growth season. This is an important time of the year to feed your lawn.
